Hi Malah! Just speaking for myself, I know I post only maybe one of every ten times that I WANT to, but when a friend is sick, I do try to reach out. Maybe not everyone is on this board without a story to read,and maybe not everyone who reads the story is on the FB page. I would rather think that than think people don't care. Or, maybe it IS just you and me checking in here very day when there's no story-- but I hate to think that.
I just hope Alina feels better soon, becuase shingles is no joke at all-- years ago, I had an elderly upstairs neighbor who had it on her face and it infected her eye. I would hear her just crying in pain every night. You cannot write fiction when you are in that kind of agony. I wish I could do something nice for Alina...
Alina if you read this, you have my email...I'll be on the UWS either Sat. or Sun...let me know if you need something.

In the meantime everyone, be a little sensitive to someone we love who is having a really rough patch right now. :!sadsmile:

I don't get it.
Alina (and Nicole) have worked so hard, giving us story twice a week for years now and we know lots of people read it (over 200?)and no one else posts and asks Alina how she is feeling? Or, for that matter, mourns the fact that we have no AWT and may never again?
Where is the support for Alina's books, too?

Alina, I truly hope things go well for you and you heal quickly! Is the pain bearable for you? I have known several people who have had shingles. It is not just the elderly who get that, which is a common misconception. Anyone who has had chicken pox, has that virus in their system. Take care of yourself and sure hope hubby and the kids are taking care of stuff for you.

No the Olympics are not over and don't finish until Sunday the 23rd, I believe.
And AWT will be back IF others have supported the website through buying Alina's books.
People talk a good game for support but this site needs more than that and these writers don't get paid squat for writing stories for the rest of us. And there are those who don't appreciate any of it. I don't blame the writers for taking time off, at all.
