Comments: In honor of Valentine's Day, the New York Post ran a special feature: 6 real-life meet-cutes that prove you can find love in NYC, and one of the couples featured was my husband and I!
Plus, my very first romance novel, "The Fictitious Marquis" (AVON 1995) is, at long last, available as an ebook.
How's that for a great cross-promotional opportunity?

Comments: I hope everyone had a great holiday!
I just finished reading the last two installments of AWT.
Thank you so much Alina and Nicole, for tremendous story these past few years. I enjoyed it so much and I know how much work that took, for no pay, to do that for us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I like that you left some things open ended and some resolved, so that we may use our imaginations. Guiding Light and As the World turns ended that way and it was fitting. All couples were reunited, some questions were left hanging, overall happily ever afters. However, what happened to One Life to Live and All My Children was NOT the way to end those shows.
So I will believe that my beloved GraS finally reunited. That Kirkland left town to pursue his goal as master chef of a restaurant like Wolfgang Puck. That Lila found her knight in shining armor. That Jazz did, too. That Rachel beat beyotch Marley to the punch and wound up adopting the baby. That Amanda and Marley became lovers That Iris and Russ adopted several children to bring new blood to Bay City, one Asian and one Hispanic. That a Jewish family arrived to stir things up in town.
Thank you again. I will miss coming to this forum to chat about AWT. To you and all of the fans who came here, God bless and have a good life.

Comments: Derek - Thanks so much. I really tried to write stories for veteran characters that fans loved. (The reason Alice wasn't in the final episode was because, like Lorna and Jamie, I felt I'd left her in a good place with the penultimate installment, and dedicated the last one to tying up remaining loose ends.)
As a lifelong soap-opera fan, I like to think I've played a tiny part in the overall genre. Who knows, I might even get a chance to revisit it again!
In the meantime, I really enjoyed writing AWT based on fan input. As a novelist, it was a unique experience and one I am loathe to give up. I hope you will all join me at my latest experiment, a novel I am writing live with feedback from readers at www.AlinaAdams.com/live. It's like AWT, only more interactive, and I would really love to "see" your friendly faces (or at least friendly avatars) there!

Comments: A million thanks to you Alina for keeping the Procter & Gamble legacy alive all these years. Each Monday has been a treat to see beloved Another World characters alive 15 years after the show's cancellation.
It was pleasing to see the "veterans" get so much airtime in your story. AW would have lasted longer if it had followed character development versus storyline dictated by plot lines imposed by a series of producers. Thank you for having a Matthews family member in the last episode - very fitting. I really enjoyed the wrap up to story lines of Lila & Grant, Iris and Russ. Donna and Matt and Felicia and Lucas. So glad that Jamie and Lorna prevailed as well. Alice was the only missing link in this final episode.
You are to be congratulated for showing us a side of what "could have been" if P & G had migrated to the web. They made the radio to TV switch effortlessly, but should have followed your lead to the world of social media.
All the best with your continued writing endeavors. Here's hoping someplace like the Paley Centre or a Museum of Broadcasting has been paying attention to your contributions to the soap opera medium. Irna Phillips' legacy lives on through you.

Comments: What a time to come back! By the time Lila said "yes" to Grant's proposal to leave Bay City, I knew for sure that this was the final episode. Thank you so much for the more than fire and a half years you devoted to this project. May you be blessed in your future projects.
Not goodbye, but until we meet again.
